IVLA 2026 Virtual Conference

Dear Visual Literacy Colleague,

The International Visual Literacy Association (IVLA) is pleased to announce the Call for Proposals for a one-day online conference, taking place on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.

We invite proposals from researchers, educators, designers, media specialists, librarians, museum professionals, scholars, students, and artists that explore the practices, theories, and principles of visual literacy. Presentations should offer attendees new tools, strategies, knowledge, or inspiration they can apply in their own practice.

Call for Proposals Opens: September 1, 2025

Deadline for Submission: September 30, 2025

Submissions can be made directly through our website.

Those selected will be notified by November 10, 2025, and invited to share their work with an international community of visual literacy scholars, educators, and practitioners.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the conversation, exchange ideas, and inspire colleagues from around the world. We encourage you to submit your proposal and join us in advancing the field of visual literacy.
